Carhartt Chalk Jacket

The Chalk Jacket is a stand out jacket style within Carhartt’s latest SS19 collection. Constructed from black 9oz 100% cotton ‘Griffith’ Twill, the body and sleeves are unlined which works towards a lightweight and layerable finish. Contrasting top stitching along the seams, pockets and collar adds distinctive character and highlights durable triple stitch lines which showcase the brands focus on quality and longevity. The pointed collar neckline sits above a button through front with customised silver fastenings. On the left side of the chest, a curved edge patch pocket has an open entrance and a square, woven Carhartt label sewn onto the front. Below this, two larger pockets of the same shape can be seen with decorative double top stitching through the centre. Side darts have been inserted from under the armpits to behind both side pockets, adding shape to the body. Neat side slits at the hem allow for movement and comfort.

Arriving as part of the Carhartt WIP SS19 collection, the Chalk Jacket has had a new season fabric update which makes it a go-to style for transitioning from winter into spring. The cuffs have single button closures which allows the fabric to be rolled out of the way and shaped decorative top stitching gives this piece a vintage-style aesthetic, whilst maintaining a fresh and long lasting finish.
